David P. Ball

David P. Ball (he/him) is a member of the De Facto co-operative, and a journalist in Vancouver, on unceded Coast Salish territories.

He is a reporter, editor, podcaster and photojournalist. He currently edits stories at IndigiNews, and hosts a Cited Media podcast on substance use and harm reduction. Over 25 years in print, digital and broadcast media, he’s been staff reporter with CBC News, TorStar, and The Tyee, and has published bylines in the Globe & Mail, Al Jazeera, Agence France-Presse, Le Monde and the National Post. He loves wild-food foraging and exploring the wilderness with his dog, Willow.
